In accordance with FPPR 20 (1) the proposed amendment to Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP2) for Canfor, Mackenzie operations and Mackenzie fibre is publically available for review and written comment commencing on January 9, 2019 for a period of sixty (60) days. The proposed change is to add a Takla Lake First Nation tenure held by Sasuchan Development Corporation. The map coverage (FDU coverage) is being expanded to accommodate the approved area for license A89522. This tenure is a non-replaceable Forest License with a 5 year term. The tenure has been specifically awarded to address forest health and beetle impacted stands. is proposing to construct a new 60-metre communications tower within LSD 2-5-78-16 W6M in Peace River Regional District, B.C. The installation of this new tower is required to support the enhanced radio capacity needed to monitor and remotely control the facilities.
The tower will be engineered and designed in accordance with CSA and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s regulations and specifications. Subject to regulatory review and approval, the tower’s construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2019. Construction will be completed by the fourth quarter of 2019.
